Apple Blackberry Pie

- 1 serve of homemade pastry
- 2 1/2 pounds of apples, peeled, cored, sliced
- 2 cups blackberries, fresh or frozen, unthawed
- 1 cup raw sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 tbsp butter, cut into small pieces
- vanilla icecream
Method
- Prepare pastry and leave in fridge for 1/2 hour.
- Preheat oven to 180. Mix apples and blackberries together in large bowl. If blackberries are frozen, gently hit bag on counter to break up the frozen blackberries.
- In another bowl combine sugar, spices, and flour. Gently stir into the fruit mixture.
- Spoon fruit filling into prepared crust, then dot with butter. Top with remaining pastry, leaving slight overhang. Crimp edges of top and bottom crusts together, sealing fruit into the shell.
- Bake for approx 45 mins.
- Optional to serve with vanilla icecream or cream.
