Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (100g) sago
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 sugar (optional)

Method

  • Soak sago in milk for at least 2 hours.
  • In a saucepan, bring to boil and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the sago becomes translucent. This takes about 15 mins.
  • Add sugar.
  • Pour into a bowl and leave to set.

Variations

  • If using soy milk, sugar is probably unnecessary.
  • I like to put some banana and honey in the bottom of the bowl before pouring in the sago. Then I turn the pudding out onto a plate to serve.
