Ingredients

  • 125g castor (super-fine white) sugar
  • 2 egg whites
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla


originally also included, but I left out last time:

  • ½ teaspoon vinegar
  • ½ dessert spoon cornflour

Method

  • Beat egg whites until very stiff
  • Add sugar gradually while beating
  • Fold in vinegar, vanilla and cornflour
  • Place spoonfuls on a greased tray
  • Cool in slow (125 or lower) oven for about 2 hours
