Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 cup self-raising flour
  • 1 tablespoon melted margarine

Method

  • Separate yolk from white of egg.
  • Beat white until stiff, whisk in sugar, then egg yolk.
  • Stir in milk and vanilla, then sifted flour, and lastly melted margarine.
  • Bake in a greased tin at 190C for approx. 25 minutes.
  • While hot brush with melted margarine and sprinkle with cinnamon and castor sugar.
