Ingredients
- 50g butter, 75g marg, softened.
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup golden syrup
- 2 1/2 cups plain flour
- 2 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp bicarb soda (baking soda)
Method
- Preheat oven to 190C.
- Place butter, marg, and sugar in a bowl and beat with electric beaters until light and creamy.
- Add golden syrup, flour, ginger, and bicarb soda and mix to form a smooth dough. (Add a little water if the dough doesn't stick together)
- Place in fridge for 10 mins or until dough is firm.
- Roll out dough between non-stick baking paper to 4mm (1/4 inch) thick.
- Cut out shapes from the dough using gingerbread man cutter (or other shapes).
- Place on baking trays lined with non-stick baking paper.
- Bake for 8-10 mins or until golden brown. Cool on trays.
