Ingredients
- 2 cups fruit
- 2 cups plain flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups white, hand-rubbed bread crumbs
- 1 ½ cups suet
- 4 teaspoons mixed spices
- 4 teaspoons cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon nutmeg
- 2 teaspoons bi carb soda
- 1 cup cold black tea (to give stiff firm mixture)
Method
- Mix bi carb with tea
- Put all dry ingredients in bowl
- Add tea
- Put into foil-lined and greased pudding steamer
- If adding water, add it boiling so pudding stays on the boil
- Have on low rack so pudding pan doesn’t touch bottom so it doesn’t burn
