Ingredients

  • 1/2- 1 med onion, sliced
  • 2-3 425(ish)g cans of pinto or kidney beans
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • basil, preferably dried
  • 1-2 sloshes soy sauce

Method

  • fry onions and garlic until tender in large saucepan
  • add tomatoes
  • drain kidney beans, mash half, leave other half whole, add to mixture (honestly, I don't bother to mash anymore)
  • add basil and soy
  • cook until beans are soft
  • serve in taco shells with salad (and taco sauce)
