Mum tells me they used to make this in September and store in the a cool, dry place until Christmas.

Makes 2 medium-sized puddings.

Ingredients

  • 5 oz. suet
  • 5 oz. fresh white breadcrumbs
  • 4 oz. soft brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • Grated rind of 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons rum or whisky
  • 6 oz. sultanas
  • 6 oz. currants
  • 6 oz. seedless raisins
  • 4 oz. Glace cherries
  • 1 oz. mixed peel
  • 1 oz. chopped almonds

Method
