Ingredients
- 600g uncooked prawns, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 cup plain flour or rice flour
- 2 tbsp sea salt
- 1 tbsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tsp ground chilli
- oil for frying
Method
Dry the prawns with kitchen paper.
Combine flour, salt, pepper, and chilli in a bowl. Coat the prawns in the mixture, shaking off any excess.
Heat 2cm of oil in a wok to 180 degrees. Cook the prawns in batches for 1-2 minutes, or until golden. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on kitchen paper.
Sprinkle on a little extra salt and pepper if desired, and serve.
