Mum tells me they used to make this in September and store in the a cool, dry place until Christmas.

Makes 2 medium-sized puddings.

== Ingredients ==
* 5 oz. suet
* 5 oz. fresh white breadcrumbs
* 4 oz. soft brown sugar
* 3 large eggs
* Grated rind of 1 lemon
* 2 tablespoons rum or whisky
* 6 oz. sultanas
* 6 oz. currants
* 6 oz. seedless raisins
* 4 oz. Glace cherries
* 1 oz. mixed peel
* 1 oz. chopped almonds

== Method ==
Grease the basins. Put all ingredients into a large bowl and mix well. It can be left to stand a while before putting into the basins. Note - this mixture fits into our small metal bowl. Cover with a piece of greased paper, then place a large piece of foil right over the basin and tie round with string.

Steam or boil gently for 9 hours. Reheat by steaming or boiling for 3 hours.
